Hyundai (+41.3%) nearly overtook Honda in June sales after an unexpectedly strong month of sales. On the other hand, smart (-50.8%), Volkswagen (-21.2%), Acura (-12.3%) and MINI (-10.7%) showcased that current market conditions can be volatile.
FCA led the industry at the halfway point with 152,439 in sales and 15.4 percent market share. Ford (149,842 units) is a close second, and they captured the highest selling total in June. General Motors at 130,202 units came in third in year-to-date sales.
