Looks to me like you already have the zbroz spring and that it was installed incorrect with wayyy to much preload. Put the shock back in the sled with the spring on, and adjustment collars backed all the way off. Take the weight off the sled by lifting the back up or by putting the sled on its...
What is the ID / OD of the spring? What does the spring coils measure? Did it have any reducing retainers on the top/bottom of the spring? They are little Teflon bushing type things that go on both ends of the spring.
Here is a pic of the ZBROZ spring...you can see the reducing retainers in...
I have no experience with the STM weights. They look kinda hokey pokey in my personal opinion, and would make it very challenging to make adjustments on the mountain? I run dalton quick adjust weights for this very reason to make quick adjustments on the mountain when required. I’ve also ran...
Pull more weight out you want 8750RPM
Stingray mods or Zbroz front track spring is a excellent purchase to replace that stock spring that is jacked way up in the pic. The spring change is a huge benefit to the overall handling and how the sled feels in every aspect.
Carnage on the front today...stripped the threads on the rail where the front shock bolt hole is. Bolt was torqued to spec with red locktite. Appears that the stock bushing is binding against the shock bolt putting stress on the threads...just like the rear bolts in the rear arm. Going to drill...
Carnage on the front, same exact thing happened to me today. Riding this pogo stick 30 miles out cowboy style with no front shock was a real blast though hahah
Could not be happier with this setup! Got SlimeR out again just before Xmas on a 3ft blower pow day. Huge gains in the mid range with the PowderFreaks head, Y pipe and Thing Can combo. Sled was running really good, pulls hard, and just keep pulling. Clutching is dialed, shocks are dialed, going...
It’s just a rubber bump stop that goes over top of the bolt head. It comes standard on the 21’s - I’ve had it on order for months. Still hasn’t shown up. With a revalve on my front shock and a heavier spring from Fox and my rider weight being quite light. I’m not too worried about bottoming. I...
Are you trying to do backflips? Way too much pre load. Install the shock on the sled then adjust the pre load with the weight off the sled. 3-5 turns tight from nut contact should just pick up the slack and be more then enough pre load.
Last year I sent my shocks in for a re-valve and new spring on the FTS. The Fox 125lbs spring was put on. I didn’t get very much ride time on it but I felt the sled was trenching and wheeling a lot in the short time I was riding it.
I simply just backed the FTS spring off all the way and then...
Ended up not putting the timing bump in yet for various reasons. Sled pulled 8100 with 3.3grams over stock with the head and y pipe. Very strong on the bottom and mid range. Noticeable difference in power. No deT codes or hiccups. Will probably have to add a bit more weight as the sled was still...
Yeah the wether network is great for the hourly forecast but anything outside of a 8hr window and they can’t predict ****. I use a combination of different weather trackers and track the storms way out in the pacific, this next system will be a good one, the weather network and snow forecast...
Don Pickering the old owner of PG Yamaha. He still owns and operates MCX Canada his number is 250.565.8893
I don’t think he has any sidewinder kits left but give him a call.
Grim??? I’ve been tracking this system for over a week now. Should hit us late Sunday night/Monday Morning and is bringing 5ft of the goods with it before it pushes through the following week. 4 low pressure systems in a row back to back. Let’s hope it bonds to our snowpack
