The response I got tonight on email.
OK. So it appears the only recall is on actual sleds with VIN numbers. There have not been any on the clutch itself. They had a limited run of bad bearings that were isolated to snowmbile builds. Arctic Cat changes the part number if anything changes...
So a short update, as I've had responses back tonight, and there will be a few calls tomorrow.
I'm told it is a bearing problem, not a jam nut. My part number appears as though it's active and good. Again, I'll know more tomorrow.
Here is a part number that is for sure being recalled for...
I purchased a 2018 clutch upgrade kit from an online parts source. From everything I can see, from manufacturers date, part number and inspection I received a clutch that should have been recalled.
The only thing that appears different is inside the clutch there is a locking jam nut. The wing...
I bought mountain performer kit, boards and geared up. Didn't slap it all on at once, started with Y pipe and clutching, reeds got changed by dealer under warranty. Then head domes. With each add on I was needing more weight in clutches, telling me something was working. The low to mid was day...
Exhaust-no
Clutching-yes
Shocks-yes
Track- possibly. 2.25 to a 2.5/3" absolutely. I couldn't believe the difference between a 2.6 PC to a 3" PC
Ive added or deleted a pile of crap, and have no idea what has helped or hurt, except gone from stock 66gr to 74gr in the clutch. So I need to-nope...
Now I've never priced it out, but our local Trimline has been doing wraps for years. And have the templates for a pile of sleds. Again, I've never used, or priced them out, but see them when we are picking up signs/decals for work.
Has anybody installed a jaws intake? Received mine yesterday, instructions seem a little vague but I'll grab a case and massage my way through it tonight. Maybe post up some pics. I'm only concerned with a few of the bullets that say careful here, don't force it there's. Not my strong point lol...
Either way it's painful. Market is crap and so is dealing with people. When it comes time to sell someone is going to get a hell of a deal because I don't have the patience to piss around for 2 years or more. I still have clutches and electrical, seats, boxes of spare this and that. Burns my ass...
