Haha you weren't there to keep me in line that weekend. I met up with a buddy that does back-flips and cliff drops on skis... tried to get him into sledding... jagger might have been involved, can't remember. He's too broke to own a sled anyways

Page 4. Definitely recommend the clamp and some 3/8" threaded rod for a front mount on an XM bumper. Field testing will commence in late November.
I can report back that the arm is a waste of money, no way the ball-socket joints will stay in place when riding. But the clamp works like a charm on the odd-shaped XM bumper.
Just get the clamp, and some 3/8 threaded rod, and a 3/8 to 1/4 tripod adapter (plus tripod mount for the go-pro) and...
Yeah, it was a different issue with the shocks, I don't think it had anything to do with the sag.
I found a sag reducer kit for my old XP, haven't seen anything similar for a T-motion skid yet though.
My 509 Sinister's (Burandt edition) have worked great for the last 2 years for me. I know others don't like them as much though. Likely has more to do with face-shape than anything else.
The 509 aviators were terrible though, fogged up quick and scratched easy.
Had the same issue with my XM last season. Rear bumper would sag about 4" from fully extended, then my fat ass would just about bottom it out. Front and rear shock/springs were cranked right up. Talked to Bow Cycle South about it, they said it wasn't a problem. I do know that they did have some...
I installed the 7-10" adjustable riser on my 2013 XM last weekend, no extensions required. You will have to take the gauge cluster off (6x T25 torx) to get at a connector to pull the handwarmer wiring out of the old riser though. Throttle cable is real simple, pop it out of the lever, undo the...
Along with the survival gear I keep some fixing tools in there as well. Leatherman, crescent wrench, zip locks, a couple spare nuts/bolts, tape, wire, allen/torx, fuses. A map print out (from the revelstoke snowmobile club website) and a compass might also be handy incase you break it early on...
Nothing in the manual about cleaning the reeds either. With how high-tech the XM is, I'll just wait for a code I think.... better chance that I'd mess something up trying to do preventive maintenance anyways.
Just wondering if anyone else has looked and the doo manual for maintenance intervals on a 2013 XM.
There's nothing at all in there about cleaning the RAVE valves (not even after 10,000km), does that seem fishy to anyone else?
Also, the spark plug interval is 6000km or 3 years, and says it...
Discovered the 'Village Idiot' while hammer drunk last year. Not really a sledder hangout but they have beer on tap and tvs. I stumbled in and ordered the panzerotti, very tasty and massive for the $15 or whatever I was very full. Will definitely be back despite it crawling with...
The Calgary Shawnessy Canadian Tire is out of the Shell Full Synthetic and won't give out rain-checks cause they have it mixed up with the semi-synthetic and are idiots. The Walmart across the road has the Shell full synthetic 5L jug for $43.95. They had 5 on the shelf, I bought 2.
And Spectro...
Search (11" Adjustable Magic Arm + Super Clamp)
Don't know if they'll handle the vibrations very well, but for $25 it's worth a shot. Just hope it gets here before I hit Revy in November.
Amazon.com: 11" Inch Articulating Magic Arm + Super Clamp for LCD Monitor LED Light & Tripod: Camera & Photo
You can get these on ebay for $25 inc shipping. I'm gonna try one on an XM which has a triangular front bumper which has so far proved impossible to mount anything stable to.
I blew a 392 (XM) belt in heavy powder with only 800 km on the sled. I've heard of a few other guys that have blown belts around 1000 km too. I was expecting it to last to at least 1500 km (Skidoo claims over 2000km) so I only had a 388 (XP) belt with me as a spare that day. The 388 is identical...
