Interesting post, maybe N/A and Turbos should be segregated at trail head,no you can’t ride there because you don’t have Turbo and N/A ride this direction lol!
Sidenote: Years back riding in a No Traffic Area Jim Kuster blazed a trail out of a Bowl that 4 guys could not climb out of with best...
Thanks for Image greenthumb, agree on old style being Ridgid.I’ve seen bulkhead swell from a impact and always removed speedometer drive and threaded that end of the Axle to keep Axle Captive End Wise on all the custom builds back in the day.
Modman not trying to sidetrack your great thread but rode with a lot of those triples back in the day and reading brought back flashbacks lol!
beerwolf still have it but it got extremely damaged after Ghost Ride over a cliff years ago. That particular engine started out in a 1993 Indy Lite and...
Built a light weight Indy Lite in 2002 with a Full Mod 488 Fancooled that Jim Kuster had Modfied, very fun sled to ride.Built most everything from scratch Forward Rolled Chain Case and 16”x144”x2” Track,364 lbs.
Those bigger tracks on smaller lighter sleds really shine crawling around in the deep stuff. When I built my 2nd Indylite,I redisigned a aluminum bulk head rolling the chain case forward 2” was a blast to ride.Had a 16”x144” 2” on that one.
Funny you posted that, attended a Avalanche Symposium in 1987 and one of the Guest Speakers mentioned a #8 Aluminum Grain Scoop.Him and his friend were back country skiing when the fellow speaking was buried face up in a slide. His friend skied with a Grain Scoop on his back and when he digging...
That’s good it works well,I was looking for the Largest Shovel available when I set this up 8 yrs ago for moving snow faster with it’s
11-3/4” x 12-1/2” deep dish blade.I believe your model is 9” x 11” ,my Shovel & Silky Saw are my best buddies sometimes lol!
I have ran a variety of setups and this one best so far, every handle round, oval or square coated or uncounted has freezing issues when trying to extend them. This setup takes 2 seconds to remove and reattach no extending on handle needed.I still have a teaspoon shovel that’s on my back pack.
Attended Avalanche Symposium in 1987 about 400 people 4 snowmobilers,6 Climbers and the rest skiers. One of the main Speakers was from Europe and was introduced as the most Experienced Avalanche Expert on the Planet. As the older fellow spoke into the Mic,his opening remark was check with me in...
Re: BC COVID Circuit Breaker - No Indoor Dining-Bar Service Effective Tomorrow Midnig
Was at the Moose this past Friday Vale was super busy,Snow was excellent but light was very poor came home a day early.
Good idea Modman,my friend had a 300 Tundra that he put a 2” track for his boy they rode a lot in the Pine Pass.
I never personally never seen it but some guy in the interior had a 485 FC Phazer with 4-1/2” plastic paddles, the guys on the big Mod Sleds at the time said it was nearly...
Yes no brakes that Qaud was packing about 800 lbs of live cargo and Jimmy had her in ultra low gear,I think engine was beyond the rev limiter holding us back lol!
