We recommend that you look at Park Place Lodge. They have everything you need right there and If you get the rooms on the 3rd floor they are very nice.
It's been a good week of riding, the last few days have been cold but the snow has been worth bundling up for. It's snowing currently and is forecasted to snow till the 7th. Hopefully the forecast is right.
All good news and if you find anyone that gives a good price on stickers please really who they are.
Cant wait see what mountain steps up to the plate first.
Great job putting this together. Thank for all the time and effort that has been put into it.
30 liter ABS for me and I have room to spair. But the truth is I wouldn't want a smaller bag. My wife's pack is 25 litres I think and it holds a lot if you plan it out.
Yep cat /(all manufactures )should be putting a tether on all the sleds, basic safety. I buy new every 2 or so years but what is the difference from 2014-2015.... If we buy a new sleds this year it will only be to be on warranty, and probably will be a change in brand. I now need to ride a viper...
Doug (ferniesnow) is right, there is lots of movement today as well as the last few days. If we all respect the conditions all this settling/cycling is a good thing. As long as we make conservative decisions we can have a blast in this new snow.
Ride safe and have fun...
Wow that is a crazy little slide... I've never seen it make it out to the road... Anyone else see this slide or have any pics of other shocking run outs from the last few days. I think posting what we see wouldn't hurt as a heads up, this slide was one of many signs that made me choose...
Just wanted to say thanks to Kim from Fernie Wilderness Adventures. He stopped by the staging area this morning warning all the riders that they have been seeing stuff slide that he has never seen move before, and that the avi risk was just bumped up...
After he left I over heard a group...
On the DD trail first km right of the split snag... 20m off the trail in the drainage we think... otherwise anyway from there to the old big tree.
That probably only helps a few of us look. or look up about here I think...
We cant thank our avalanche team enough... all the info that comes from all the work you guys and girls do is priceless.
Thank you so much for ridding in, then skinning into the places you go.
Yesterday was great but we did see lots of slide activity, we were out by the new rolling hills cabin. There was snow just coming over the hood throughout the day.
Don't be afraid to speak up within your group because you may see something that others have missed.
We (my regular riding partners) play way on the safe side most days and always talk about what we see, I think every group should do this. even if you all have been riding for years or not...
I taped off my vents on my 509 because it seemed to have to much draft in the cold. I just pulled the liner out and started covering the holes, made the halmet feel so much better.
I dont guide so snow conditions are not a major factor... That being said I like taking clients into the best snow I know of. Depending on rider ability to what snow terrain... I choose.
I have a rider coming this week that the current snow conditions is going to make for a fun adventure up and...
only slightly less snow now then last year at the same time... We always get a dead spot in the winter and I always seem to still find good snow. YES we need some to fill in the normal riding areas but I will be out ether way and I will be in reasonably good snow.
I never reported great snow I...
