There's no snow, conditions suck, I'm getting depressed but...

well we have snow ... between 120-160cm on the prob the last day out but we were above 7000 feet, but the truth is I think I'm jealous. The little man riding around like that would be a blast. Merry Christmas and we hope to get out with you again this year.

    Protective Vests?

Tekvest all the way.... they feel weird at first but once you get use to them you cant ride without them. you will find you need to dress a bit lighter and that your pack doesn't weight your shoulders. We ride the Klim tekvest and mine has saved me from more then just my sled.

Question for the more "expert", seasoned riders.

We teach a great deal of new riders every year as well as couch advanced riders and its surprising how much the lesson for the newbie is relevant to advanced riders as well. After all the basic safety stuff of course and a few trail rules similar to what ferniesnow was saying... ( we like to...

    Who makes the best Goggles

We ride smith I/O or I/OX. I have had more then my share of goggle and for me there has only bee two brands that have worked really well in all conditions. Iris use to make goggles and they were amazing... I limped them through many years after I couldn't get them any more because every goggle I...

    Thunderstruck 13... WOW!

    Buying stuff....

When ever we can we buy from the dealer... mostly because of what fernie snow is saying... I want them to be doing good and for it to be worth their while to stock parts that way I can get what I need right away.

    Pipes

Thats right letting more out... allowing more to come in. It seems funny thinking of it that simplified, but thats what it comes down to. There is more to it like, scavenging, air flow, pipe heat ... that pipe builders have more to consider then a big open exit for the motor.

    Pipes

More power comes from a combination of more fuel and air/larger combustion!!! so if you stock mapping is really fat you could see small gains by getting more oxygen/air, or if there is a fat point in the stock mapping they may gain a bit in that area. How much will you see in gains? probably...

    Track length

long tracks are great for getting around in trees and such, they give you so much more time to think. Do they really climb better? thats up for debate. once moving the difference in track speed vs ground speed counts for more then track length in my opinion assuming you have the correct...

    Jetforce Avalanche Pack

first off I think sledding Has been growing over the last few years and some of these non motorized groups are going to have to look at all the work our sledding communities go throughout to protect and improve the backcountry access for all user groups. I also avoid supporting products that are...
