    Boat inspection stations

I have been thru a bunch of these checkpoints, Medicine Hat a few times, and near Cochrane a lot as I pleasure cruise Lake Minnewanka. I have no problem talking to them and confirming what I have done. I always pull my plug as its a breeze. They staff that look for the invasive little critters...

    Vacation essentials

I have the larger size, but found I was getting really really drunk early in the day, so a normal sized mug keeps me at a better pace.

    Vacation essentials

Well two of the four of us going are EMTs. But the barriers are no longer needed as they say CPR is effective enough at moving air in and out. Make sure its to the beat of Stayin Alive…. I have to say I was considering a small lounger, it may keep my floating so I don't spend so much time at...

    Vacation essentials

I usually take an all inclusive vacation or two each year, and each time I go I take something new. Last year I added a cheap breathalyzer from London Drugs. My suitcase also has a football, multiple sunglasses, travel mug, sunscreen. So what other items do folks take?

    Tipping edict

Im kind of up in the air with the whole tipping thing. It seems more places have the tipping option. I have always tipped at bars and restaurants, but now its working its way into food chains. I was in a Mexican take out place, and they had the tipping screen on the debit machine. Not sure what...

    Photo radar

I have a photo radar question. My little brother received a photo ticket in the mail the other day. The ticket is from the Town of Wainwright, and is for failing to stop at a stop sign. So its a picture of the rear of his car, with the brake lights on. Ticket is $388. Anyone have an experience...

    Any Sherwood Park folk?

Anyone here from Sherwood Park, maybe even Heritage Hills? I'm actually seeking the use of a snowblower for an hour. A bunch of us want to play hockey but there is two feet of piled fluffy snow around the outside.

    Next year FIRE season.

I believe that they thought they could get it under control during the nighttime hours. When I left Fort McMurray on May 2, my brother had been called in to help fight the fire. My sister in law was worried about possible outcomes. We had a long talk about what to take in case of evacuation. She...

    Next year FIRE season.

Oh I think a few people have been "roasted" over the Fort McMurray fire. BUT, as an ex-resident and Firefighter, nobody would have ever imagined a fire of that magnitude. That fire jumped fire breaks that were huge. It jumped rivers four hundred metres wide. It jumped 4 lane highways that has...

Facial piercing's and exposed tat's and career future?

A lot of Emergency Services are putting tattoos and piercings into their deportment policies. Fort McMurray Fire stated that tattoos must be covered, and no visible piercings. They would make exceptions for tattooed wedding bands.

Cutler 1300 kit on M1000 Reliable

I had a buddy put a 1200 kit on his 07 M1000. I hated that sled. Always stopping to get the fuel dialled in. I dont remember if that is when the mixed race gas BS started or if that was after the turbo he had installed. Damn thing was my nightmare. I hated when he rode it as it so temperamental...
