Keep the pin in it when going slow on tight trail in trees, way to easy to bump and very expensive and dangerous even with tether. Most people with one have a close call/horror story. Only a couple times in 30 years of mountain riding have I thought it would be handy.
You need to check if your 08 was reflashed with 09 fuel map. This was very common for the 08's. Fuel map is very different between the two years. My 08 was not reflashed and my boondocker box is set with a lot of negative numbers under 6500 rpm to get it to run right. Unless you have autotune...
See post #4. I've used Kurts parts lots, always top notch better than OEM. He can build the post for yoru 99 RMK longer than stock too, I think I had mine 3" longer than stock.
Trail in very good condition. Not much fresh up top, 6" to a foot. Found areas to play in, but very warm and snow is setting up. Blue skies. Put on a lot of km hitting our usual spots. Snow level with deck on cabin.
Re: New to me, BCA float 30 pack - Question
You can order the o-rings from BCA. We change the o-rings every time we test fire. Look up how to properly put the air bag back into the pack. An extra set of hand makes the repacking much easier.
Depends on the damage, I went 8 years with a partial tear. Lots of physio and it was manageable. Accupuncture was good for the pain, but didn't do anything to stabalize the joint. Wiped out on the ice playing hockey and it went to full thickness tear. Surgery was only option, had it Feb...
You need to purchase a set of EGT's before you start tuning. Without them it's an expensive lesson when you lean out a spot. I have the 2008 mapping on my M1000 with full SLP and had to take a lot of air out to get it running right with BD box. Still have it fat on top end for engine...
Talking to them about usage actually shortened the amount of days until we were throttled!!! I think that streaming video and skype are the biggest culprets.
What about setting up another computer to use as a server?
My teenagers are chewing up our internet at an amazing rate. Living in the country, we are limited to 60GB a month, which is usually used up by the 15th. Rest of month spent on throttled internet. Short of blocking them totally, I need to figure out a better system.
I would like to be able...
A well stocked first aid kit. Mine is in a shaving kit and sits in the bottom of my avy back. Small ones are useless if the injury is bigger than a sliver or small cut. Only took one small wreck for us to figure out we couldn't do much to stop bleeding from a smaller leg gash (running boards)...
Has anyone put them behind the grill. Looking at mounting one 10" in both lower grill openings. Thinking about a 10" spot on drivers side and 10" flood on passenger side for better ditch coverage. Also, where did you mount your switch. Post pics if you have them. Thanks.
Got these in and have about 50 left. Don't want to distribute them 1 or 2 at a time as it would be to time consuming. I'm open to ideas and would mail 10 or more. PM me.
