I was fortunate enough to ride up to the Renshaw when the trail was in nice shape but I have experienced my fair share of pounded trails to know that it does frustrate the hell out of you.
But one also needs to realize the trail fee does not only cover the actual grooming cost but all cost...

A full face for the cold Manitoba winter days is a must, a lot less drag when you are high speed across Lake of the Woods for 40 miles!

As of mid Dec we have good snow but bad ice.
It will be a while yet before the swamps and lakes have enough ice to support a groomer.
