I think the 1000 RT recoils fit and they have a metal pawl. may have to buy the whole assembly, but maybe it will be the last one....:beer:

1900.00$ for a short block HO 2375.00$ for a short block R Priced all over bc...pretty much the same everywhere. 700.00$ core charge on the R not sure about the core on the HO. I don't think there is much play room for the dealers on short blocks.

Turns out it was the stator again:doh: What a pain in the ass..... It wasn't a BRP stator that was put into last time, so it will be this time. Thanks again for the suggestions.:d

I use "goof off" I found it at home depot, did everything including grease and dust around clutches. Didn't damage any decals or yellow panels on the XRS. I have used pledge, it shines it well but dosen't degrease.
