Anyone riding Valemount this weekend that wouldn’t mind one more in the group? Intermediate/advanced rider, AST 2 and all the electronic stuff, the trees and creeks is where the action is at!
I have found that hand signals are very useful on narrow or single track sections, anywhere sleds can't pass side by side easily. On the groomed trail stay right and ride defensively.
Being the first pull there isn’t much history to go on. I would definitely start with the 2nd injector though. Heading up the trail the engine likely wasn’t loaded much and rarely saw boost for any long duration. The Etec is designed to run really lean at lower rpm, stratified combustion if I...
When it comes to snow horsepower and torque are important. Riding a YZ-250 and 450 back to back the power difference wasn't that noticeable but the lack of torque made the 250 far harder to ride as it was weak when off the pipe. If 2 Stroke is your thing a 500 or built KTM is the only way to go.
Not 100% sure but I think the new trend in online business is "Drop Shipping" If you are looking for the absolute lowest price online these sellers can offer it because the have literally zero overhead expenses.
The Munsters are great, no more blown bushings and bails over the bars. If anything the skis are a bit stiff and can punch through drifts etc rather than riding up them. I am still thinking of cutting a bit of the bushing saver away as a compromise.
Not everyone knows how to tune the AFR of an etec, the stratified combustion really messes with people and so most are tuned stupidly rich at mid rpm and throttle. The other issue is clutching, if you expect just to throw weight at it to handle the top end on boost the engagement will be...
Any idea how much of the 24lb weight difference from the summit is the shocks? That seems high but the other differences shouldn't add up to much.

I doubt the issue is with the DESS, many people switch between sleds on any given ride and I'm sure they occasionally try the wrong tether. Kill switch failed on the bars maybe, you can easily test this by disconnecting it under the bar pad.
Heading to Valemount for tomorrow morning solo, looking for a group to sled with. I have AST 1 with all the gear, can get around the mountain fairly well, 2015 T3. Most of my time at Clemina and Allen has been spent in the trees and creeks. If you wouldn't mind one more member in your group...
