This doesn't make sense to me...how do you know there is no one behind the last rider in any particular group that has signaled with a closed fist. Lots of different groups riding.

I always stay to the right on blind corners and over crests...I always try to anticipate that some yahoo will be oncoming on my side of the trail.

Do all of you who use hand signals start riding on the wrong side of the trail after you see a closed fist signal?
I treat a trail like a radio controlled road; always expect the unexpected. At least if you meet a guy giving you a high five you usually expect at least 5 more. Some guys are just waving.

100% agree, always expect the unexpected. On a radio controlled road...just because you don’t hear call outs on the radio doesn’t mean someone isn’t hauling ass without a radio.

I have found that hand signals are very useful on narrow or single track sections, anywhere sleds can't pass side by side easily. On the groomed trail stay right and ride defensively.
