I bought a Remington 700 in 30-06 and it gets it done. I put a bushnell 3200 3x9x50 on it with rings bases etc it was around $1000. If I was buying again though I would look at a Sako, but it's more dough for sure.
When I was 12 I started on a RT 100. That got a bit boring once I figured out a manual transmission and learned to ride. Not a ton of power, which was good for learning but didn't leave much to grow into.

X3. Bought a pair of Smith Fuelv2 that had the nose piece. I found 509 were junk, especially in the colder temps. The smiths were about 40 bucks cheaper than my sinister goggles .
Thanks gents. Loosened off the tail boom and gave the belt a bit of slack. It was pretty tight. Took the blades off and spooled er up. Didn't seem to have it anymore, thanks! We'll see once it gets in the air again though.

Yea, I've seen some of those LiPo fires on line before. Scary stuff. That would turn your house in a pile of ash in a hurry. I need one of those bags. I don't leave them unattended anyway.
