Your absolutely rite, that’s what a guy should do, and I have a very good relationship with my dealer but what’s the fun in that lol. I’m the kinda guy that would rather fix it at home if it’s something simple, dealers got enough **** to deal with. but by the looks of this, it’s not a simple fix ?
It’s been probly 20 Years so who knows, 3 pulls, and a fourth to make sure it got as hi as it was going to go, no throttle. Last one I did was on my ‘97 ultra 680 lol
So after much swearing I got the gauge in on the mag side, really not good. Am I missing something, is there something special a guy needs to do to get a comp test on these 850’s? Not sure how these fancy new electronically operated exhaust valves work, could they maybe be fkn up? I’m so...
So to keep this up to date, As per the most common theme from others, I decided to pull the plugs, wow, not a sweet job for a guy with giant mits, see attached for pto side, covered in some nasty goopy two stroke goodness, was not expecting to be that bad, then I pulled mag side, not too bad but...
They’ve all been considered at this point, even thought about the Salamnder, Or just back to the good old XM lol. Have to wait and see if it’s a sled issue his time or somethin with the kit, maybe I shouldn’t have fkd with it Hahaha. Ran great last year lol
Thanks for the heads up, honestly not too worried about warranty, just want the fkn toilet to run. Had two out of two trips ruined this year so not a very good average hahaha. Might have to buy a spare sled if his keeps up lol
I had it in to turps to get the injector updates done so shouldn’t be that. I didn’t do a compression test yet but seemed Electrical the way it just died, thanks for the tip on tue rfid
So my ‘17 g4 wasn’t idling the best when I loaded to head out to Golden but I just figured it’s been sitting in my shop for a month, no big deal, it’ll clean up. Get to silent pass parking lot on Friday, sun was shining, gonna be a great day I figure. Sled fires up first pull, idles for a minute...
I’ve never had an issue with warranty at my GM dealership or any other for that matter, had issues with dodge in the past and I’ve heard nightmares about ford but so far so good with the General, I’ve had 6 dmaxes in the last 14 Years, and put on over a million K combined, all deleted and tuned...
‘16 dmax, exhaust and urea delete, egr disabled, EFI live with Motorops tow tune, most dealers will do this for you and warranty it, installed after first oil change, $2g for everything including full exhaust, now at 70k and absolutely no issues, way better mileage and woke it up big time from...
Not to be picky but I have a tough time believing that the fan is capable of excavating more cfm then what would escape that hole without the fan. What I’m saying is when the clutch is rotating and the fins are forcing air out that hole, would that tiny little fan not act as a restriction? I...
Here’s a weird one, was out in Renshaw Wednesday and sled was runnin like crap, finally went into limp mode and died, figured I blew it up, just my luck lol. Turns out I lost the bolt that holds the detonation, or knock sensor whatever you prefer, to the head. Could not find this bolt anywhere...
It’s obviously an ‘18, Blue with the new primary so what else could it be guys? Also the dust is obviously from the broken outer sheave chewing on the belt when it let go.
Parthunter, you got any more info on what happened? Was it the bolts that hold the jack shaft bearing that broke and...
Polaris and Cat will both run without the ignition switch, still operate on the same basic wiring principles as older sleds, ‘18 Cat may be different. Doo is the only one with a theft deterent system, each DESS is coded to the ECM so will not run without it.
