Little late to the party was working and heading home tomorrow to get some riding in and get a 2nd Baseline for RPM and track speeds my EVO stage 4 is pulling.
I did 5-6 longer steeper pulls with 2-3’ snow in a Weinbergers Bowl @ Renshaw and my 162” was pulling consistent 61-63mph. I can tell...
Wish I could come just got back on site. See how my 2nd choice for sled runs. I was pretty close to doing the Axys MNTK turbo setup from you. But I’m also curious what just a Tune on a sidewinder does compared to 10psi Two Stroke aswell.
I believe a cornice.... seen a few old slides pretty old nothing over the 2 days we rode. If you check my thread in Yamaha 4 stroke section I have some videos of the 2 days riding Renshaw.
Rode Friday/Saturday before the new snow. Renshaw is low on snow but we had a blast still. Untouched @ Spirit Lake and we Ran out of fuel Saturday dropping in to Weinbergers. 1-2 feet fresh then.
Haha I like the passion everyone seems to have. I was just posting about the Sidewinder nothing mentioned greatest sled ever. It’s the most fun “ I personally” have had on a sled. And going from a stock 14 XM to this Stage 4 setup is quite the feeling for me. This Blog/Forum posting is just for...
I have the full skid plate from Yamaha now installed over top the factory plastic ones. Covers entire front end both sides. I also have a Pickle Protector in the works waiting for a phone call from the manufacturer of them he said it will be 2 weeks. So next week early it should be ready.
Let’s get this back on track with a little fail trying to learn the Re-Entries. First one off camera went good but when you decide to film the next one it all goes downhill.

Yep I got the phone call the next day and gave him the parts list I replaced. His was cheaper because he didn’t chew it all apart like I did.
I head back to work tomorrow morning :( or I would sleds still on the truck. I’m home Feb 3 - Feb -13 and will be doing a trip sometime in that time...
I’m hoping to get a ride in with some Turbo 2 strokes to do a comparison and just try a new setup. I believe we have a mutual friend Stacey. His and my chain cases were cracked and we both didn’t have a skid plate installed.
Hopefully get a ride in with You/Niner/Catman10/Kibbels then?
I’ve seen that video a few times on repeat lol, and that’s the same setup I was gonna buy off of “Chris Gulbradsen” out in Stoney Plain I believe. Parkland Motorsports. I have just watched a ton of the Powerhouse Crew videos, and the Yamafest videos and Wanted to do the 4 stroke turbo and since...
As I said above only rode one briefly down the trail and then 1 quick pull up a hill. Before I purchased the sidewinder I was considering an Axys Turbo. No real comparison’s for me to do I only have a few sidewinder riding buddies and a bunch of stock 2 stroke riding buddies.
I’ve rode a few 2stroke turbos just briefly but yes the torque and pull when holding it wide open Climbing is an unmatched feeling for me so far.
The adrenaline from climbing and getting over the top even if these weren’t chutes is awesome, your hearts racing and your face hurts from the Boost...
Haha the power does feel good it’s my first turbo sled and first 4stroke. And your right the stock 2 strokes couldn’t get half way up in post #72 video. You can see where their highest mark was trail cheating. Then I blow past them and up the top. It was the coming down after that was a little...
From what I’ve found from talking to Yamaha, Thunder Products and members on forums is a few things causing issues with belts.
#1 has been secondary rollers/spring
#2 Alignment and Deflection
#3 pre-wash/Break In procedure
#4 heat/letting it cool from long hard pulls climbing or long...
Seat of the pants dyno says it’s better everywhere. I’ve done a full stage 4 so that’s
Intake, Bullet Exhaust, Tune, Charge Tubes, BOV, and Thunder Products Heavy Hitter Arms/Weights Primary spring and secondary spring aswell.
