When i was talking to Specialty yesterday they told me that it takes them about 16 hours in the shop to do a D&R...
I knew it was alot of work but DAM !!! i don't have the space/shop to do that, i thought this would be a fun summer project but hell... and then theres the issues of not getting...
Thats only because of a few individuals that try and party like rockstars while the rest of us have a few beers maybe soak in the hot tub and hit the sheets to get up early the next morning to hit the fresh POW ! Theres always gunna be a few that ruin it for all :(
I missed last years, i think...
DJ Hooked me up today and i filled out his forum only a little while ago (no more than a week). Kit should be on it's way soon, can't wait to rip it up with it. Thanks DJ !!
Looking forward to hearing how things work, i am looking into a DJ kit for my XP right now. Also heard about Tom's magic arms and am anxiously awaiting your results.
If anyone has the headlight lens for a Rev style chassis that will fit on an 07 800 i would like to buy it, mounting hardwear would be alright too (maybe a take off if you choose not to run a headlight?). Also looking for door plastics in yellow for the 07 in good shape a hood would be welcomed...
Im really not sure on that one, haven't really done anything to the XP yet... think that will be for the spring, not much of the season left to be modifying and tuning, a clutch kit would be nice though...
um anyways, i heard they changed the ignition somewhat, not exaclty sure what it was but...
you can get them from any BRP dealer, i bought 6 and broke 2 trying to seat the bigger wires properly in the clip, possibly worst design EVER !!! Why not just make it like automotive coils where there are boots on both ends of the wires to connect to the coil like the plugs...
The clip just...
this would nice to know for sure, thinking about this for a summer project when i change track, if you already have the gearbox aparts and the track out why not right !?! Mine would be for an 07 DOO. They seem pretty straight forward, might get the kit from specialty sleds in edmonton. Just...
I got all my parts for specialty sleds in edmonton, they shipped it to calgary by bus, if you live there you could probably go pick the stuff up, they had it all in stock.
Iv been told that higher pin weights produce a higher top speed and more grab on the belt, so i wanted to go up in weight to see what it did. DJ's kit will produce 80-85km/h track speed (#'s from another XRS rider with his kit). Although my highest speed was 77km/h, at some times it would be...
Go with Glen's setup, he knows his chit and i went with something similar he suggested, AMAZING !! i was getting 77km/hr in 2 feet powder with a setup base. THANKS GLEN !!!
159XRS setup: BRP blu/blu primary spring, Fett bro's 1mm over rollers (stock ones were worn out when i changed them...
Just had a weekend out in Revy playing in 2feet pow most of the time, tree dodging and climbs. Im not sure how long thouse boots were broken but my sled is a monster now. Throttle responds RIGHT NOW and sounds great. It didn't sound like it was all there last trip but now it screams and barks...
I wear Doo pants there are just a shell and are still a bib style, there pretty flashy with urban camo and yellow trim. I think the shell way is the best idea and to wear some thermals underneather like under armour. Oakley is also maken snow/boarding pants, check them out aswell, i used to try...
Aw common now !! "still enjoy maintaining our toys in a professional manner (or at least know how it is done) and it might be the only way to have a nice looking well running sled for some
Sleds is all about modification and standing out of a crowd... i really like the zip tie method, i wasn't...
True i supposed, but with people changing body panels and putting on graphics and annodized parts or polished alum to make a sled look the way they want it to.. it's sad to seen a nice hood (depending on what it is) be split apart.
My XRS hood is that Lexan stuff that is unrepairable because...
Alright, i made some wires out of Taylor 8mm high performance automotive wires with MDS high performance automotive boots, the taylors were a little thick to get into the coil so i had to remove some of the outter shield coating but then they side in fine. I hooked up the coil and wires last...
