The two shock bodies on my sled. The front experts have a nice coating, the rears are just raw aluminum. I dislike how it ages I’ll probably send the bodies out to get anodizing that “looks” the same.

So a new 858 makes more power than a 850 turbo…. Still not adding up. I know a 850 turbo, despite brand, is typically underpowered but the OE’s wouldn’t leave that much on the table.

Yup right here, sold mine with 14,200km on it and 1 rebuild. Sold moms with 15,500 and 1 rebuild. Still the best sled motor produced in terms of reliability and oil usage. Always give the sled a warm up as the dash tells you and you’ll be just fine!

Around March, typically rotten and melting. Really depends on the season. Traversing the kinbasket takes knowledge of the area. There are channels that do not freeze, hot pockets, glazed over ice, etc. Columbia river does not freeze over.

Annodize anything aluminum. Cost is a lot less and the coating is tougher. Cerakote requires a specific surface finish for great adhesion, not impossibly just an additional step

Is this really a thread? They haven’t made a sled since the 2 stroke era. Rx-1, nytro, sidewinder…. There all flops for the mountain market.

Sorry but if that’s how you justify it, that’s just dumb. The unit cost the same if not more than a compatible gas one but you have been short falled in distance. Why would someone produce a unit with 60km range. How is anyone to believe the electric way will work.

just going to say 60-65km range is pathetic in relation to a comparable 1000cc side by side. i know my 1000xp gets close to 200km on a tank depending how i drive it. mayby even more.
