My 18 has been a belt eater. Stock tune. MTX weights loaded with heavy rivets in all locations. I put high torque secondary rollers in, Dalton 35* billet helix, black/orange spring. Primary spring broke and put a black/bronze in there because that’s all I could get in a short timeframe...
Or just man up and deal with the conditions. Lol. Isn’t that why everybody and their dog needs a big dollar shock package? Think of it like a snow cross race before the main event. Hot dog stand up on the hill probably had a long line and was out of ketchup too.
Id say its toast. On my 3rd motor in my Axys, it runs great, then does exactly what your describing. The dealer can never find anything wrong which is the frustrating part.
I have the stock MTX weights loaded with heavy rivets now, will just wait for my 8LR to get here, it seems to be a proven combo with stock tune. I will be trying the Dalton black/orange secondary spring, probably start at 3-3. My sled was a belt eater last year, so over summer ended up...
Anybody know what Dalton weight is comparable to the OEM 8LR00? Cant get the 8LR00 in time but can get the Dalton stuff everywhere. Its for stock tune 18 Sidewinder with CR intake/exhaust. Thanks
Having a coffee this morning going through S&M and thought wow, its been 20 years since I first tried snowmobiling in the mountains. Living in central AB growing up we always had a sled around the farm, but some years it never turned over due to lack of snow. My dad had bought a 1979 Arctic...
I tow them up on a toboggan. Make sure they are covered or else snow fills the hood up. Right up. Lol. I let them ride from the cabin up into cabin valley, with me right with them of course. Usually pack some crazy carpets and stuff to go tobogganing on down towards the end, it’s great fun.
Is there any way to prime the oil pump on these machines. Reason asking is I have a 16 RMK 800, 3600kms on it but on its 3rd motor. Every time it goes down is within the first 15km of the first ride of the season. Machine is stored in a dry place right beside the other sleds through summer...
Thanks. Ya I totally know the advertised hp numbers are grossly inflated, but without going huge, one of these flashes to get a bit more seems legit. Just like to know what I’m getting into because I don’t know anybody with a sled like this. Do enjoy going through all the posts though, lots...
Xmrider, I’m going to pull the trigger on the Evo stage 4 on my SW this year. Do you run 91 octane? And I also ride around home if snow lets me (2800’). Is that flash ok at lower altitude as well? Thanks.
What’s all involved in servicing the rov? I’ve had it off numerous times and it always seems to seal. Don’t want to go back to 2 stroke, this thing had been too good this year!
Sled is bone stock. Cleaned air filter day before last ride, unloaded and rode up into alpine with no smoking or issues. Stopped for a few minutes to gather before a climb into the zone we were going into. On the climb the sled was smoking really bad and running poorly. Open the air box and...
