ds is alright but is lacking on low end power. If I was going with a 450 I would buy the yfz. Best power handles great, and reliable. I have not ridden a ktm or kfx though. This is also personal preference. If i was doing alot of trail riding and mud I wouldnt buy a quad that didnt have reverse...

I kind of like the commentary, and listening to them talk about their lifes in the sport. To me it shows that these guys are serious about what they do and are willing to take the ultimate risks.

ive ridden a outlaw 525s a yfz a raptor and a trx on numoerous occations, and i would have to say the yfz is definatly my favourtie

Depending on how much experience you've had with bikes you should be able to adapt to a race quad fairly quickly . Anything under 400cc wouldnt take long for you to get bored of . Id look at a 400ex. A great reliable quad that's alot of fun . Ive also had great experience s with yfz 450s ...

i may be buying an 04 yamaha viper. what do you guys think of these sleds. how do they handle, boondock, hillclimb, reliabilty.

this may not be what your looking for but id be willing to sell my 03 yamaha rx1 mountain for $3500 the sled has a few cracks where the dash is held on but other than that good shape. its only got 2000 miles and these sleds are as reliable as any. plus its got electric start

i have an 03 rx1, and the engine light flashes twice then stops for a few seconds then repeats but the sled still runs perfecty. i heard that it is some type of code. does any one know if this is true, or do i have to take it to a dealer and get it checked out.

Well i ended up buying it. I understand it will be heavy but i only ride the mountains once maybe twice a year. Will i need to jet or is there an altitude kit on these sleds?
