I see a lot of complaints that "my cooker is just a warmer" when folks have their muffpot hotpot generic cooker etc mounted toward the tail end of the exhaust system.
You can dramatically increase conductive heat transfer to your cooker by making a "heat transfer pad" out of scrunched up aluminum foil like in attached pics.
On my XP this works about perfect mounted on the elbow going into the can. The location is convenient and it gets hot enough to cook but not burn.
