That's not it at all, Mr. 8 is a glowing target and will be for a long time! Happy cooking all.

It is amazing when one can look and not see?? I totally missed them on the key board, maybe I should have asked mom for help!! They always seem to find things that we misplaced or are looking for and can't find. Thanks....{{{{:)}}}}}

I think the water pump clamps are the culprit. The heating and cooling just naturally loosen the clamp. I found my solution a few years ago and have never looked back.....

I bought a couple of extra clam shell clamps and springs. They are made for the heat of the exhaust and the spring keeps things tight. Work like a charm....happy cooking

PS picture is a teaser; large sea scallops, dab of butter, touch of fresh crushed garlic, dash of lemon pepper, and about 30-40 minutes at WOT

Interesting what do these clam shell clamps and springs look like and where would you pick them up? Crappy Tire, Rona, Home Depot?? :confused:

For this trip to Blue River in a few days I've put 3 gear clamps on and brought a socket to tighten periodically but a permanent fix would be great.

They are the spring and clamp "thingy" around the aluminum housing or shell on the exhaust. 4 or 5 on the Doo muffler. BRP makes them and if the link works it is the parts catalogue on DooTalk.

BRP Part Catalogs

Otherwise, the spring part number is 514053643 and the strap is 514053499. I think the strap number is for the larger strap, but in any case you require 2 of each as 1 strap and 1 spring won't cut it. Good luck and happy cooking.

Oh OK thanks. I have a Dynoport pipe but I would think the smaller ones might reach around.

Dude who cares if his spelling isn't the greatest, we can all obviously understand what he's tryin to say now can't we. If he's a newfie like myself then he's probably better at other things like riding sleds and bashing people that are ignorant, big time talkers with a keyboard piss me off. Do us all a favour man and don't be so rude.

Ya you pansy assed mother f#$k%rs remind me of the type that sit in your little knitted sweaters around a fire sipping on tea, snoodling each other. bahahahaha. Sometimes it's funny to bug a guy when he mispells something that is funny, but enough is enough. I have alot of buddies from nova scotia, newfoundland, pei etc. and I tell you what...they are the friends I want. They have my back anytime I don't even have to ask, not like most of you fruits around here.

Now back on the topic here....I have my muff pot in the same spot, and it gets plenty hot so maybe your just not riding hard enough.....just kidding. I still will add the tinfoil to cover more surface area.
