Thanks! I have Canon Rebel XSi....have had it for a few years and really need to upgrade to a better lense, just have the 18-55mm that came with it.

Pretty sure that shot I just had it on the sports mode too. I usually shoot in manual and just mess with the settings until it looks good, but if I remember correctly my buddy wasn't waiting for the camera to come out so I was in a hurry.

Luckily I have a decent grasp on how to use Photoshop and can make my pics look a little better than as they were shot.

I just got a Sony SLT A-33 Alpha, and so far only have the 18-55 lens it came with. I am starting to figure out the camera, editing, still to come! I swear I am going to have some contenders for 2011/2012 years best sled photos!

When you are looking, take a serious look at the PowerShot SX30IS. The one draw back is the lack of "burst" shots but the 35X optical zoom is great. Might be a little cumbersome.
