In the market for a 2 seater trail SxS and think the Wolverine may be best suited for what I want to do with it.

Brother in SoCal has the RZR 1000 XP 4 seater with all the upgrades which is fine for down there (lots of wide open and dunes etc) but I'm thinking that around the acreage here and at the cabin on Koocanusa (plus trips to Utah) that Wolverine is sporty enough and has a bit of utility to it as well.

Also, If I buy what would be the most important options right off the dealer's lot?

the wolverine is a great machine. yes its not king stud of the HP and CC race, but it is peppy and a very well constructed machine. it is a perfect trail machine and if the dump bed isn't important the bed is fanastic, especially since it doesn't have the cubby hole for a bed like the RZR's and similar.

But for options, it really depends on what ya want. personally I would say winch at least 4k lbs, rear window, front windshield(tilting, vented or someway to open it up and let air through) either in glass or MR10 coated plastic. those would be first things I would be getting with a new ride. and the OEM ones usually are premium quality.

Bought one with Fox shock upgrade and so far love it.
Got a wind deflector, winch and over-fenders. More accessories to come especially a rear view mirror!
Got 2 border collies that love to ride in the back.
Can't wait to try it on some exploring day rides into back country areas.

Awesome and congratulations! that's great to hear. That should be a plush ride.

Great choice with the 3 to start with. I like to keep as much stuff off me as well. As long as it isn't dusty or lots of fine powder snow the rear window isn't going to be super important.

That's great the dogs love to go along. Mine are too stubborn to ride the whole time. They always have to end up not being able to pick their tongues out of the dirt.

Hope you get some more riding time on it. Post some pics of it up! Which one did ya get?
