The new 2021 Can Am Commander is also the new competitor as well .
The 1000r sure looks good . Not much Yamaha in it is my understanding.

I honestly wouldn’t be scared of buying one. Yamaha makes some of the most reliable machines out there. Just hope they didn’t keep that wet clutch. That’s a weak spot on the rhino and think the 700 wolverines had them to. It worked good on quads but I think the sxs is to heavy for it

Supposedly it comes with a ten year belt warranty. Unit uses the ultramatic transmission

Has anyone actually seen the Rmax 1000 se in Canada yet? I talked to 4 dealers and they said the units were sold till the 2022. model year. Crazy this was largely due to COVID the the supplier not being able to get the parts to Yamaha to build the machines.

I recently bought an Rmax-4 with the 1000. Just a standard model but it rips. Ride is super comfortable and lots of leg room all around. I only have a hundred km on it as of now, but that’s going to change here soon.
I think it would be nutty in a two seater.
