hey just a random question , if the nytro has a 1050cc motor in it , why is it racing in 600cc class?
Good question. I always thought it was an 800 class sled. Unless a stock nytro was put in the 600 modified class.
4 strokes make less power per cc than 2 strokes because there is one power stroke every 4th stroke instead of every 2nd stroke. That's why in MX you have 450cc four strokes racing with 250cc 2 strokes (both around 50hp) and 250cc 4 strokes racing with 125cc 2 strokes (both 30ish hp). The 2 strokes are a little lighter as well, just like the sleds but you've seen what's happened with the MX'ers. Same thing will happen with 4 stroke sleds eventually and its already starting, the weight will come down and the hp will come up.....then there's boost:d just run a boosted 600 2 stroke against a boosted 4 stroke
