This is key... it’s not just about the weight, but more about getting the new rider (young or old) used to making the sled do what “they” want it to do.... too much power and things start happening too fast. That’s how inexperienced riders get in trouble, and the usual culprit to why most newbies never catch on...

The other major issue is when experienced riders take a newbie to an area that’s over their comfort level...
Everyone has to start on their version of the bunny hill... then work up to the double blacks!!
Exactly. Kinda like bikes. A hayabusa isn’t a good first bike to catch yer buddies on. Big. Heavier and crazy power.

Got to take a venom for a ride when a buddy rented one for his daughter for a day. Thought I was gonna have a hell of a good time with it but I honestly couldn't get off it fast enough, not for the lack of power, or the fact it weighs 100lbs more than it should, but it was just horrible to ride. Given this was a rental and was not well set up or maintained but man, it would not hold a sidehill or climb anything (and we weren't in very great snow) Trying to maneuver it pretty much anywhere was a task. I was just unimpressed all around, for a $13,000 kids sled....these things missed the mark
