Yahoo hijacking my searches!

Anyone else have a problem with Yahoo search engine hijacking their searches? I use google all the time, but now I been hijacked. I researched it on the web and apparently its a malware that re directs you so they get more hits on a web site and then your back over to Yahoo search engine. They make money if you are only there for a faction of a second. I did all the suggestions online. Some worked for a while, but the Yahoo malware keeps coming back. There is something I`m missing, I`m on a apple computer...anyone out there that can help?
