Yes it was amsoil. Come look at my bike and you will see. It cakes up and spoooges bad when not run real hot. It ok in desert or super cross and stuff. But not low temp 2 strokes

Stick with XPS. The electronic oil pump has been calibrated for that specific weight of oil by changing to a slightly lighter or thicker oil the pump will not calibrate for it and therefor not pump exactly what the ecm is calling for. We’re past the good ol days of mechanical pumps and the factory setting them rich because emissions weren’t a problem. You made the investment in the machine now u have to bite the bullet and stick with the oem lube. This goes for all new sleds now.

I've ran coop xls ( which 2 years ago was identical to xps oil, color and all) in my 14 xm for 9000 km plus, since after break in was over actually

Also I had a 2010 xpx , that had over 3900 miles on it, original too end and all

Have had at least 4 other guys use this oil in there xm's with no oil pump issues

Funny thing is my 16 xm has had warm up mode issues, which is fir the oil pump, and dealer installed new one
But never put xls oil in yet, and only xps in, so that might kybosh your idea on that

Sorry, but I'm callin your bluff. As long as the oil used has the same specs as the OEM. And if you knew how the 'electronic' pumps work, there just like the mechanicals but with an electric drive. They still are a positive displacement pump They pump X amount every pulse and that doesnt change with slight viscosity changed. If that was the case, then you would be rich on oil in spring time and be lean in January. Viscosity changes dramatically in OEM oils over the course of a days ride even.

Plus the oil pump flow rates can be changed and calibrated with buds, supposed to match the flow rate of the oil pump, but some guys with turbos get the pumps turned up for piece of mind

Correct, mine is one of them. Turned up by Motor Tech.
