if you can ever come up with a final decision on this question please let us know.

so far i'm very happy with the ranger, don't care if it's the best, the fastest, best clutched, breaks axles or craps gold bars. for me it does what i need it to do====make me enjoy riding, having fun and being with like minded people. i have no problem helping anyone out that is having a doolaide day. lol

In this case you must mean "Canberry" juice..................

I own both an 850Xp and and XMR 1000. Both are tons of fun. I have busted axles on the 850 like toothpicks though. The stockers are generally weak. I'm not going to lie though...I replaced them with Rhinos and due to my heavy thumb, I've replace a few of those as well. I run 29.5" Outlaw 2's...Enough said 9tire is way to heavy). The XMR has Silverbacks which are crap on hardpack like the OL2's. If you wanna do good in the slop, you will sacrifice ride quality on the trails, no question. Both machines have a ton of power, both are pigs when it comes to weight.

well, well, well.... a birdie just told me about this post! lol

i don't know what to say... but i will say this....

I owned polaris before the first renegade was released.... then i owned Can-am since Febuary of 07... put 6800 k on that machine... all hard K too... no pussy footing around..

getting back to the popo's i owned... i cant really say anythng that bad about the bikes back then ... yes they have improved.... and popo finally smell what the Canned Hams are cookin! lol

With the experience that i have had with Can-am now... for 7 years now... been to Gncc events and now going to another one in september in New York...
Also now i have been at a pro mud event .... the biggest in North america .... and when you attend and see how Can-am just dominates... you shake your head. i have also done 4 builds with me 2 bikes... learning never ends...but in 7 years you learn alot if you do this as a hobby and sport

GNCC riders dont do much to there totally stock quads... there are few that will run aftermarket stuff like clutches... 90% are just frame reinforced and other shocks an tires are used.... but otherwise those machines are out of a showroom....

now that said the mud series has more highly modded machines... but still the same machines we all can get our hands on....

this is same with popo.... stock machines and a few basic mods.... the popo's are really still in the experimental stages to work out bugs...
many custom frame strengting stuff is slowly sufacing by the racers themselfs.... Rick Cecco has already some of these parts on the machines... Team UXC is also following close behind...

Problems are abundant with the scrammy right now.. in gncc anyways.... the mud series ...well lets say popo needs more years to refine there machines before they wll
touch can-am. i have seen the brake downs on the popo's when you run them hard for 2 hrs.... Took Can-am 3 to4 years to refine there machine... you think popo gets it right in year one? i dont think so... but they wll...

now on the UVT/sxs market popo holds there own.... in them mud series thou .. Can=am sweeps the podiums pretty good still....

Now for us weekend warriors that just need 4 tires to roll forward... who cares right...

I dont build my bike to show off.... i am one of these human beings that likes....more loves ACCELERATION... nothing like it! prue perfomance is awesome..don' t we try as guys to have nice fast cars or fancy trucks? i build cause i love the powa and handling of my my 2010 Can-am.... it puts a smile on my face every time i mount her! hehe!
bought it on June 30 th ..2010 and have 9600K on her right now....

just dont ask me how much tig welding there is on my machine....lol ... with hard riding there are hard repairs too... but believe me there would be the same repairs on a popo

i would like to add .... that the G1 chassis was liked more than the G2 was in its first 2 years of being devloped.....12 and 13 where transition years... in the racing scene ...eg. would be GNCC makes it manditory to switch machines every 3 years... so you must run current year after the 3 rd year.... most of the racers liked the G1 better for handlling and cornering mainly cause it had a better centre balance point and the geometry was lower to the ground...

now that all the racers are on the G2 frame they have figured out how to get the bike to handle like the G1' s did....

that said....the G2 does not handle bad at all in totally stock condition... you do need to have DPS.... without it... is just day and night... some lower C of G and some good shock upgrades along with anti vibe rizer and flexx bars and the G2 becomes a quad to be reconed with....

Crap I thought my 12 xt outlander 1000 g2 handled like a dream, I honestly thought it was the most responsive chassis I have ridden in a quad. I loved the machine, would wheelie on demand, and skim across the skag when needed. Oh we'll I guess I have to get out more. Lol

8400 km on gen 1 renegade800. No repairs except stupid dess key. 2012 outlander 1000 6800km. Tore a cv boot. Sweaty rear engine seal. Replaced it 2 times. Now on a 2013 renegade 1000 and at 3200 km. To date its been a Rear engine seal sweating but not leaking. Power steering had to be replaced when it was new. All of my quads ran 28" tires from big horns to outlaws. I would say for me they are the best quad out there. I ride the snot out of my quads. But there's ways to ride hard without breaking parts. I've seen some real meatball moves over the years. Guy pulling his friends quad and spinning wide open with the quad bouncing and biting hard pack. That will break any cv joint
