Anybody know what the top speed of an 800 etec summit

X2 My damn XM wouldn't go more than 20mph one day last winter Couldn't understand damn snow was pushing me off the sled,Wide open throttle too!!.And holy crap it burned a ton of fuel!! Damn thing just wouldn't go anywhere LMAO!! But seriously WOT on a long straightaway groomed trail I think the speedo hit 130 just before the rev limiter kicked in. 163 Stock gearing whatever it is. As long as it keeps up track speed in the steep and deep I could care less what top speed is.

Really damn fast when you are coming down a steep climb you FAILED ON!
But hell, they stop just as quick when they t bone a tree.

I had 136 km/hr but that is too fast for the ole guy!

Just for reference, 09 summitx 163 stock / 92mph or 148 kph top speed saved on gauge. Hardpack, stock 21/49 gearing.

I had mine up to 137mph the other day. Although I did fill it up with race fuel rather than premium, and drank like 4 red bulls.

The sky is the limit......

Strong tail wind, they go faster
Down hill, they go faster
Across an unfrozen lake, they go down
Across a frozen lake, they go fast and really spin
Across a frozen lake with a tail wind, they go faster than above
Climbing the many spruce tree that you may encounter, not too fast

I have had 3 of those babies now (including the 2014) and I don't really know and don't give a rat's ass! As long as the tach is at 7900RPM all is good.....

The eastern guys on DooTalk all have to know how fast a sled will go, or the fastest one has gone, or how many studs doo I need to go a certain speed, etc., etc.. It is quite comical!

Can you recall your last speed and RPM to see what you are pulling? This way you could clutch accordingly

Probably around 140km. Now top speed might not be important in the trees, but if you were trying to do a 300ft gap jump,, might be important...lol Maybe this guy is a distance jumper? Or possibly just a trail banger....

i wouldnt push it. anytime ive ever blown a belt it was going way to fast for a mountain sled. BANG. seems they like the heavy loads rather than the high speeds.
