I got a little bit of time on mine on the weekend up in GP before all the snow melted. There was only 8 inches to a foot but enough to notice some difference from my 2012 freeride.
First off the gearing seemed to be the same but the motor seems to have more power than before in light snow comparison, and still in break in mode so that's cool. The clutch response was bang on right there all the time.
2nd this thing flips around and flops over amazingly. I can't wait to get it into the steep and deep.

Thats good that it flops easy now I won't hit so many trees going up hill, lol

Haha ya there is a new snowmobile term that people are using that starts with a "F" and sounds like "pickable", that would work. But I don't think that would be nice to use in Maxwell's thread.
So flip flop works. Lol

Got word from Turples today... BRP shipped a bunch of sleds out via the train today. Should be here around the 26th of November... Better late than never.

Ah good, we now have a place to complain that BRP can't deliver sleds with 7 months advance notice on time. I guess 7 months isn't enough. Some real geniuses in charge of production over there.

I don't have mine either. Glad I ordered a pro also. Gonna ride the polaris this weekend in revy but I'm really looking forward to the xm test

Coming off a 2006 159 Rev 800X. Put 104 km on my new XM 163 on Monday, no alpine due to very very icy access trail after 2 runs called that off as i was not into bending things up on the first day. So run around on the logging roads with a 2 ft base with 3-5 inches of fresh snow in the Torpy area. Also had a 2013 pro 163 out .. rode both. The XM feels like it pulls like a train. but a side by side a few runs and the XM will pull the bottom and the Pro will pass going out the top. I know Not very scientific but it did this a few times. We both know the clutching and gearing differences and we expected this. Both agree it will not likely be the same when we are up in the deep. The XM seat is a 10, Suspension is 10, overall the ride is very nice, traveled trails normally done around 40 M/PH at easy 60-65 with less effort and darting. Machine would hold line very well through ruts and other sled tracks. Tons of Foot room and forward position, Could feel the T motion trying to do it's thing on the trail, I can tell there will be a day or 2 getting use to the t-motion and narrow ski stance once up in some deep. overall very happy. Pro pulls nice. you can feel the front ski hits hard up through the handle bars. Seat is harder. played with some spring tensions but not much change. Pro feels (Stiffer), Pro was revving 8400 so a altitude gain or a weight change will be required next run. ( Weights not Stock). Overall I feel the XM is a more refined machine< the pro still looks better, It will be a good year out there with these 2 machines.
