i would say. Or it was never warmed up properly its entire life. XM800 should get 5000 worry free km
Should but not always, I always warm my sled up before I ride and the motor went with about 3200 miles on it. That said, I'm not all that bothered that it went, it is a 2 stroke and for as hard as these things get ridden i consider myself fortunate to have gotten that much mileage out it. Hopefully she's good for another 3200 miles.

ya. i just redid a 2014 top end. almost the exact milage as yours. 3120 miles. i think 3000 miles / 5000km is the magic number to check crank and rebuild top end.

I Ride a 13 Xm with 4500 k on it , still going strong . knock on wood. Have a buddy who put 10000 k on his xm before it finally blew.

I have 7500 Kms on my 2015 174 XM compression is still 150 a side. Changed the plugs at 7400 and the electrode was wore down so the gap was huge. Still runs like a top. Too bad I blew the track last week.

Ya I don't know what causes this failure on the bridges. Talked to the guys at cvtech and they redo a ton of them that way but they guarantee their jugs for life so that's cool. My other xm has close to 4000 on it and other then the plugs acting weird the other day it's been great.
