Get the popcorn out.It won't be long till the doolaid boys sell you on the X. Seriously ride them both, find what fits you.Dealer sales, service is also important. They are both good sleds.I snow checked a 15 RMK 163 with all the free goodies, matte black/orange.

Both are good..... Both are bad...... Either way, you can't go wrong. And again.... get some seat time on both, to see what suits you

I expect you'll be happy with either. Both are great mountain sleds. My advice would be to get the 163/164 length track as opposed to the shorter track versions.

X about 5..........get some seat time on both. I mean real seat time to the point of adjusting the steering for your liking. To each their own but it took about 10 minutes to find that the Pro (the way this one was set up) wasn't for me. Just to qualify the statement, I have been drinking DooLaide for years.

Xm is my choice as others say don't like the steering on a pro just not for me. But I do like how they get on top of the snow so well.

I would say ride all three.
Doo has a stronger, more reliable power plant but heavier. The pro seems to get on top of the now better, and like others have said the vertical steering is kinda strange feeling to me.
Warranty on a doo is better, there were a few key issues on the poo in 2013, but have seemed to have been rectified.

It's the skis I think, lots of guys putting grippers on xm and say it's awesome

But a 12 freeride is wide in ski stance and boards width and not really meant for tight tree technical riding , but jumping and landing, mogal bashing...

A xm is more than half way in the difference between a pro and freeride as far as easily manipulate ect...

Sorry Tex but the skis have nothing to do with getting on top of the snow?
The lighter weight , attack angle and transfer of power to track .

The grippers are a far better ski thou on the Doo.
Changed a couple years ago and a good upgrade.
Better handling for sure.

Lighter weight where?? Not in snow...

They weight close to the same with snow in them

Attack angle doesn't seem much different

So you tell me then mister smarty pants ?
You stick both sleds on flat ground . ( stuck)163 Doo and 163 rmk.
Skis above the snow on both.
Give a ski pull on each and you tell me which one climbs on top easier ?
We have done it lots and the Polaris simply comes out easier.
Lighter ??? Yes
By the way I am a Doo fella but it is what it is.
