I would have to say that sales would probably double if they all looked like that. I know that they work well both performance and cooking all the trail snacks. I probably would have bought one but i can't get over the fact that they look like it was made in someones backyard garage.

I picked up an MBRP because I was sick of stock and unable to get my hands on The Thing. I know everybody knows what it looks like but here is a picture. I think it looks good and it sounds great. Also, drops 25-30 lbs. I highly recommend one of these babies, makes it sound alot less tinny and all around way better.

Picked up a mbrp for mine and currently loving it!!!!

Still popping and farting once in awhile with my MBRP at 2900' elevation. 150 miles on the sled so I'm not sure if it is still in break in mode or not. Doesn't feel or sound any different.
Gonna give it to 300 miles and if it still pops n farts I'm gonna try a different can.
Kinda confused why some MBRP's have the long nipple like pictured above and others have the a short one but they say they are all for the '13's. Makes me think MBRP changed their design and the long nipples are for '12's and shorty's are for the '13's. Not sure if the '13's run different with the shorty or not.

Still digging the HPS. Sled runs awesome, can looks awesome, couldn't ask for more. unless they were free lol. Have them on both sleds now.

Got about on 700km since I put this SLP/Muffpot combo on, working great!

Food gets way hotter than the Muffpot on the pipe my 2011 Summit X.

Put some heat tape on the coolant jug just incase....but placement hasn't shifted.

I've been running the HPS on my sled since new. Sled runs strong and never any hiccups. Here's a small sound clip. Nice, deep sound and is fairly quiet below cruising rpm. Not sure if there is more than one style of HPS can, but my buddy has an HPS on his Pro and it is much smaller and louder.

I put the SLP full pipe setup on mine and love it. No issues at low elevations and sounds great.

Oh it gets SUPER hot.... need gloves to take pot outta clamp. Toasts sandwhiches real good, have to flip half way up trail to cook evenly.

Much better setup than on the main pipe of my 11 Summit X.

Good to know! I was going to put quick fasteners on the front plastics just to be able to access the Muffpot on the pipe but I think I'll do what you did.

IMHO, and I'm not really into the technical stuff like a lot of guys, it is a weight saving and therefore more efficient HP.

TheThing, not only saves weight, but it cooks your lunch very quickly. Hot lemon, garlic shrimp are hard to beat at 7000'

no power just weight savings and a bit more noise/bark

some even loose an hp or two

If anyone wants my THING can for MBRP or SLP I am in for a trade I havent even used the muff pot yet still brand new and only 400kms on it. just not using the muff pot.
