Looking for a good transmission shop to install my trans go jr in saskatchewan. Preferrable in saskatoon.

Just not comfortable drilling into the valve body myself so i think ill let the pros handle it.

If you have had it done, or know of someone who has, let me know.

thanks

BH

Try IDP in Saskatoon. Joe will be able to help you out or at least point you in the right direction.

I'm trying to find the name, but is was in the industrial park area behind Timmies and on the same road as Fountian Tire. If that helps, the owner is an allison specialist.

I had to get my tranny completely rebuilt, smoked all the clutch packs and cracked the torque converter, but they put a trans go shift kit in the new one, along with other stuff. It was expensive, but works awesome.

got a buddy who lives in melfort actually and may just have to go for a drive one day.

thanks for the help guys and keep them coming.

What did it end up costing you for a full build in saskatoon?

I know in sask and alberta they seem to want an arm and a leg for a trans build

Just remember you get what you pay for when it comes to a trans.

you pay 3g for one you get a 3g trans dont expect it to last much past stock.

pick a good reputable builder identify your needs and buy what you need not what is cool or what you think you need.
99.9 percent of guys over build there trans I laugh at guys that run 550hp and buy a trans that is good for 1500hp and think it will last longer.

I have seen to many times a guy with an exhaust an air intake and a programer think they make 1000hp and buy a 10g trans when the 5g one would last just as long and work just aswell

I just ment that you cant really find a built tranny or Someone who will build one in these provinces for 5g's... Where as i could drive down to the states and get a very reputable builder to build one for under 4 that may be a better trans.

I don't think that you could find a very good trans build in saskatoon for 5 g.

This is just my 2 cents.

Really cause I can find a trans for 5g many places in canada.

I have never found a person that actually gets a trans in there truck cheaper then up here that is the same quality( lesser sure) by the time you add in the shipping or travel.

I have got trans out of different builders in the states before and its always the extra extra not included that kills you with them.

Then have an issue and try and get that fixed at a decent rate

My 2 cents if you know what your looking for you can get it here for the same price you can't compare a orange out of the states to an Apple here

It was close to seven grand, but the billet torque conventer was close to two grand. I also got the transfer case rebuilt at the same time. I would say just the tranny was around five grand, and I push my truck pretty hard and its been flawless.
