Anyone have any experience with these tires? I ran silent armors on a previous truck and liked them. I need something good for the winter as I drive alot of off road for sledding. I'll have 2 sleds or quads on a deck as well. How would they compare to Duratracs?

Wrangler AT/S was the worst tire I've ever had. Had them on a dodge Dakota 4x4. Never again. Got Mickey Thompson ATZ now and like them.

Lots of people slamming tires, but nobody saying what's better.

He's not wanting mud terrains and for that reason I think Duratracs and General Grabber AT2's are some of the best. AT2's being less offroad, duratracs being all around a great tire.

AT2's can be studded for winter only use too.

I've also owned AT/S and will never do that again. Terrible tire often put on new vehicles.

For mostly highway and gravel use, Firestone A/T's are a solid, well priced and looking tire. (I've also owned these tires before as well)

A good place to get reviews is Tirerack. Can't argue with some tires having over 21,000,000 miles reviewed.

Bingo and no kidding. Worst tire I have had for quite a while. Loud, annoying, chew up on gravel and have no better traction in most conditions than any regular all terrain I have had. Not to mention they love to cup.. So wonderful. I had 2 sets on my old work rig that was company owned as that is what they wanted on the truck. I got these cheap and thought I would try again.... No more.

I have no recommendation because I really have no idea what I am going to buy. I bought Silent Armors for my second truck on the 4 for 3 and they work okay on something that isn't heavy or loaded all the time provided you rotate them. I have heard good things about Hankook DynaPro AT/M's and may try that route next on my work truck.

I had Wrangler AT/S's around 13 years ago and they seperated in around 40000 kms of highway driving on an unladen new at the time 2000 GMC half ton. Doesn't sound like they improved a heck of a lot.

I had a set of wranglers and they separated to. Bad wobbles from the steering.
The crap these days is just that ....crap.
They should rename the duratracs. Cause they ain't durable.
Maybe if you just ran them in winter they would be ok. But in Alberta there isn't Allways snow on the roads. And they will wear fast if on dry pavement

The dynopros are just like a toyo open country at. But a bit cheaper.

Dunno. Sold lots but more like a allseason than anything.

I wouldn't use them unless its all highway. And even then there not good

I have the same feelings as Medler on the Duratracs. We run them on the company trucks and they don't stand up to the gravel road usage they see. As far as better traction, I don't see them being better than the Silent Armor. I have run the Silent Armor on my last truck and was quite happy with them.

Bridgestone Dueler AT/S Revo II's are some of the best tire's I've run on anything. Quite on HWY, decent in snow, decent in mud.

Must be just a skiff of mud.

Duelers are about the same as open country at and dynapro at.m

Good for Texas Mabe.
