Guess like everyone is now saying the vaccine isn’t effective-big pharma wins again! These players should have boosted before the tournament and again midway thru the tournament if they wanted to be safe....eye roll....at least that’s what the government and health puppets want you to think

Another issue that was talked about on Ched today was the lack of separation from players to the general public. Not at all like the bubble they did it last year.
100 % like vary poor planning on the part of the tournament organizers. players should all been housed in one hotel and nobody get to leave the hotel till the tourney is over.

We thought "we had this" but nope, hopefully it is milder because everybody's getting OMICRON for Christmas

Sad. Our beloved sports athletes are turning into prisoners, locked in hotels so they can entertain us lol. This entire Covid thing is plain silly.

It wasn't going to make bread because of the Covid restrictions... so they cancelled it. Blues vs Oilers last night was pretty full though. Too bad Samorukov blew it big time!

Just read an article from the Hockey News saying how well Edmonton did last year hosting bubble events but completely shat the bed this year. Not sure if it was their problem or the organizers but things went south pretty fast.

My guess is they knew how much the bubble cost last year and weren't willing to spend it this year and decided this is what we will spend and what revenue we need (like having fans in the stands) if it works great, if not cancel. But they want to save face and say they tried their best and it was out of their control.

The part that blows me away is at the very least how do you not have a hotel just for the players and not allow general public in? They made a comment about how a wedding was in one of the hotels and you just can't cancel someone's wedding a few days before, sure you can't dumba$$ but you can move one or the other to a different one.
