I bought a pair of Muck boots from Peavy Mart. They are a breathable neopreme rubber boot. I was in and out of the shop and my pickup all day yesterday, feet stayed dry and warm all day. They are light and comfortable, what an awesome pair of boots. Paid around $110.

Leather workboots for me...My feet are always riduculously hot...I havent worn winter boots on a pipeline for about 6 years now. I do however keep a pair of -100 Sorels in the truck for those -40 days if we are standing around, or if I happen to get stuck on a open cab machine like a side-boom...

Hard to find a decent winter boot that is CSA approved...Awesome ones in the US but no green triangle...

While you're at Mark's Work Warehouse, try on the new Baffin Winter Rubber boots.

I bought them last year and they are pretty much identical to the Dunlops, but they were WAY more comfortable for me. Same temperature rating, etc. But they have better grip for ice.

Agreed on the Dunlops I am a 7yr tester of those they are great, I need something warmer though. They just aren't cutting it this year for me feet always seem cold. Gotta look at the big boots I guess. I do have the insulated Dunlops by the way.

I wear Dunlops too, and I heard that the new Baffins are pretty good from a few guys, but I saw a pair that the sole separated...so I dunno. I might give em a try for better ice traction. But you can't go wrong with Dunlops, if you feel your feet are getting cold, throw on a second pair of socks. :d:beer::d

I bought the Baffin's last year to try based on the cost (after years of Dunlops), they lasted 3 weeks and then started cracking where your foot bends up by your toes when walking. They were warm enough to start with but hard to keep your feet warm and dry when your rubber boots leak in January, wound up wearing plastic bags in my boots for 2 days to keep my feet dry.

Junior staff member bought the Dunlops at the same time (and he literally lived in them all summer with the wet weather we had) and he is still wearing them today (he actually had to take some samples this morning), my Baffin's hit the garbage can 3.5 weeks after purchase.

I don't know if its the rubber formulation that Dunlop uses but it seems to stand up better to hydrocarbons and oil than the Baffin's. I couldn't return the Baffin's unfortunately because they stank like oil and sulphur and were pretty much destroyed at that point.

Dunlops all the way.

I wear Matterhorns.

The same boot for summer or winter.

Wore for years in the military and continue to wear daily in the oilpatch. Mine are CSA and safety toed.

These are also my sledding boots.

No wet feet, really warm, extremely good support. I added a link to view the boot. Not sure who in Canada carries them. I always got mine from the states.

If they came from the states they arent CSA approved. Great boot, and lots more like them in the US, wish we could get some decent ones up here...

Yours are likely ANSI approved which is NOT CSA and depending where you work, you can get away with it, but plant jobs, turnarounds and such, safety dudes are actually starting to check boots now for the famous green triangle.

Hey guys! Bumping this up cause I am looking for some of these Dunlop winter work boots and they don't seem to have them at Mark's anymore. Anyone know where I might find some?
