So I am looking for some new tires for my truck. Right now I have Dunlops 315 70/R17 and am looking for a tire that will be about the same size but have the snowflake on it. I am looking at these right now:

but they are on back order for the next 2 months so I can't get them. They do have a snowflake on them so they would be a good option. Other than that I can't seem to find to much out there that will work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

mayeb try fierece attitude M/T made by goodyears sister company kelly tire. i dont recall if they have the snowflake ont hem, i think they do. i havent got to use mine in the snow yet but the reviews from others sounded good. they are apparently getting lots of tread life out of them. overall i am pretty impressed so far. mine being a 265-75-16 they are 10 ply tire and load range e. have a look around.

The DuraTrac's I am running have been great. Way better than my BFG AT's. They have a 2ply sidewall vs. the 3ply on the BFG, but the heaviest thing I am carrying is the deck with two sleds. Load Range E. Lots of siping for good braking.

There are lots of hit and miss reviews on the DuraTracs. One thing I noticed is Canadian Tire and WallyWorld each carry a simular Goodyear tire to the DuraTrac but under their own name. Those tires are either made with a different compound or under different quality control as there are way more bad reviews on their versions.

They felt very soft at first, but theat was just due to the amount of tread they had. They have no issues with abonormal wear, and no issues with lugs ripping off. I have taken the truck off road, and use it on lots of logging roads, the Kimberly summer highway and much off road trail driving with no issues.

I wouldn' have an issue putting another set on. You will get lots of mixed reviews though and lots of other suggestions.

I would suggest going with the goodyear wrangler silent armour. They definately have the snow flake on them. Run them on my truck and they work great in the summer and the winter although they dont have a super aggressive thread design.

Duratracs seem good. Bfg a/ts are good too but now don't have the snowflake. Feirce ATT mt are just a mud tires. In the 35 inch 17 inch tires u don't have much option.

I run the DuraTrac's on my Duramax and on the service truck and have also been very pleased with them.
I also found that the BFG's wore out a lot quicker than the DuraTrac's as a comparison.

I am running the Durtracs as well, love em.... But have yet to run in the winter.... You can get them from Canadian tire, fountain tire, and of course the dealerships. I find it hard to believe the delivery time,Sherwood Dodge got mine in 3 days... You wont regret getting them

I have 2 winters and one summer on my studded Duratrac's. I will be buying another set. A great winter tire!! This is on my lifted 3/4 ton duramax and I run all winter with a sled deck on it!

The key to get huge mileage out of Duratracs is lots of rotations. If they are rotated every 6-7000km you will get 25% more life. I am a Goodyear Dealer and have seen mutiple sets hit 120,000km with proper maint.

Not sure if they make one heavy enough for a 1-ton but I run a set of Yokohama geolander I/T's on my Tacoma in the winter and they have an incredible amount of grip. Very soft tread though I'm pretty sure they would wear out fast hauling heavy loads over long distances all winter.

A few buddies have the duratracs on their sled hauler trucks here in the bc interior (poopy & nasty bush roads) and are very happy with them.

Second vote for the silent armours. I've only got 15,000kms on them so far and they are holding up well.

I have been running these for 3 years, they are the best snow tire I have owned( I have also used MIchelin x ice, and bidgestone blizzaks) The Nokian Hakka's are insane, I run them on a diesel Jeep Cherokee pulling a 2 place trailer.
