people ride quads on the Hells 1/2 Acre trails all winter, Pretty sure it's part of the Outlaw ATV club trail system... trails are too rough for the sleds...

pretty whooopidy.... we road RR25 & RR30 trails saturday to the sturgeon and next time I will ride 43 & 633 avoiding the RR25 trails and maybe even go around on 633 to AB beach to get to the sturgeon...hard on the body and the sled...

Speaking of the highways I just got off the phone with a Lac.Ste Anne county counsilor. last night Dales neighbor was saying the AB Beach peace officers had threatened a buddy with a $240 fine and impound for riding the ditches.

Legally the officer is correct, riding 2 and 3 nuber highways is a provincial regulation and is NOT Legal..... (even though I can't find anything stating this in the regs http://www.aohva.com/pdf/OHV_Regulations.pdf )
That said people do it anyway and the county WILL NOT fine for OHV use on provincial highway ditches. The RCMP look the other way and will only check for reg & insurance and the same should be expected from the peace officers. If a peace officer tries to fine and impound a user under the provincial regulation the county will not support this action and will not issue fines based on provincial regulation...

so I have been told that it is not legal HOWEVER no one will tell me not to or issue fines for riding the ditches.

I rode my trx450 @ H.H.A. in aug and sept. It wasnt to grawrly for me then. With the snow does anyone have an opinion if the snow makes it impassable for a 2wd race quad?

you'd be fine, the trails are packed down regularly...may be a couple hills you need a good run at to complete but I've done the whole trail system in winter on my 1986 yamaha moto-4 225 2wd.... you may not want to venture off the beaten track because there are spots with 2' powder that will suck you in but on the trail you'll be fine....

Where are the Hells 1/2 acre trailers?

Thanks

STYKO

there are many access points... search out "hells half acre" on here and you will find tons of info...

you can access the trails from Echo Marine in AB beach, RR30 @ hwy 633, RR25 @ heatherdown, RR 25 north of yellowhead....
