i carried my 01 arcticcat 800 with my 99 ranger back in the day. they sit on the truck crooked, but it worked just fine. a little hard on the truck though.

shouldnt be a problem. my 03 sonoma carried my XP around no problem. just looked funny as the sled is damn near as long as the truck and hangin way out the back. haha

Check your GVW, is it a long box or short.

Their is a differance between "being able to" and being legal to pack your sled.

I used to put my 05 King Cat in the box of my 94 ranger. It sat crooked, bent my Tailgate a little, and I got pulled over for an "unsecured load" once but it worked.

ya, check the gvw, seen a couple guys build up a little ramp across the fender welds so it sits level, and i m sure u can get overloads for ur truck as i have seen guys with campers on the back....

a cheap smaller single trailer new is like 850.00....(not a crapy tire one) and im sure theres used out there for half that....

buy a trailer... I had a 1988 Ranger and a 1979 Blizzard 5500 I put in the back on occassion, much nicer driving with it on a trailer....

i would like to get a trailer, but money is a big issue for me right now...

its a shortbed, so i think if i was to re-enforce the tailgate with some extra chain and strap the thing in it should be ok to get from van to revelstoke.... fingers crossed...

If your going from Van to Revy with a sled strapped onto the back of a shortbox Ranger, your looking for trouble, you have to get by the scales at Hope and Kamloops, besides the safety problems of having very little weight on the steering axle of your truck in the winter.
