The year is 1907, one hundred and 3+ years ago.

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an Canadian and assimilates
himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any
such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an
Canadian, and nothing but an Canadian...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an Canadian, but
something else also, isn't an Canadian at all. We have room for but one flag, the Canadian flag... We have room for but one
language here, and that is the English language.. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the
Canadian people."

- Wilfrid Laurier 1907

Every Canadian citizen needs to read this!

Laurier was himself , FRENCH .......

I've been duped, should have done my homework...50 is correct...and I agree also wholeheartedly !!!

Myth Blaster Verdict: True, in so far as the speech/written words by Theodore Roosevelt; however the date 1907 is incorrect. The words come from a letter that was written shortly before Colonel/President Roosevelt’s death in January of 1919.
