I just spoke to a customer who used to work for forestry and actually fought wildfires. That was a very interesting conversation. He explained to us how black spruce / pine is the most intense fire as they grow in layers - and all layers will burn and with the low humidity and high heat we've had lately created a perfect storm which explains why it grew so quickly! A deciduous forest will generally not burn in the same way. So interesting.

Plus all the infrastructure / equipment damage that the fire destroyed.

Any updates? I've only been following this here.
Looks like the fire is still burning, but not growing much. They posted a photo of the fire and the KBR (Ken Baker Road) one side is charred, one side is plant. They must have worked like dogs to save that plant.
