Here is an article from the Calgary Herald about Wilderness Abuses,

http://www.canada.com/calgaryherald...c0a59-eb91-4f26-8c94-e545388a0aae&k=84021&p=1

We need to organize more cleanups like that was done out in Bruderheim and get the media involved next time.

RON

That's what needs to happen(media) when we go clean up Valemount(# of volunteer hours and equipment involved NOT the amount of garbage collected). A buddy of mine went quadding up at Allen a few years ago, he said it almost brought him to tears the mess, it looked like a freakin' garbage dump. If anti access folks ever got footage of that crap it would give them a lot of ammo for their cause.

Cleanup is still a go guys, just no final date yet. I tried to get to clemina cabin on friday on a canam 400. The snow got too deep at about 16km, might have been possible, with a couple machines, but solo was not a good idea.

I was out in Bruderheim on Sunday and noticed its was getting messy in the back staging area allready, there were several people having and there were several people having fires. The big pit in the center seems to be gone which is good. But there was a bit of garbage and cans in a few area's. Then travelling over to the North where there is a campground I found alot of cans and bottles and assorted garbage left behind by partyers. I then went down a narrow road on and found a couch and chair torn apart some sections burnt, and this is new because there is another couch on another section of the trail. There was also some assorted garbage beside this. I guess someone could not afford $15.00 for the dump fee and decided to just dump there insted, hmm which is cheaper the dump fee or the gas to take it here. PLEASE TAKE IN WHAT YOU TAKE OUT!!! Lets not distroy this area or any other area's this is now a topic for the media and there working on this so lets not give the guys that oppose this sport any ammo to close down area's.

Thanks
RON

I guess, with the license plate intact either the owner or the insurance company would have to pay for removal after the authorities are notified.

If anybody is going out for any clean up rides or random rides be sure to put up a thread. Any time I have available to help I'm willing to offer it. I also hope the rest of the responsible riders here would do the same.
