Wildcat sport limited to no more parts offered

Hey everyone,

Just got a call from my dealer that textron will no longer be producing certain parts for the wildcat 700. Example the air box I’ve had on order since September.
No fault of the dealer. Textron is sure hurting the Arctic cat name.
If anyone has a spare airbox for a 2016 wildcat sport 700 there willing to sell let me know.

I know for farm machinery manufacturers have to make parts for 10 years by law.

Not sure if motorsports is the same way.

My understanding is the manufacturer only needs to keep parts available to satisfy the warranties, once all units of that model are off warranty there is no requirement to make or sell parts for those models. Poor business practice, yes. Illegal, I don't think so.

I'm really trying hard to avoid bashing Arctic Cat at every opportunity, but Textron you make it hard not to.

Well this is very frustrating to hear. I have the exact same SXS. Low Km on it for now. Great machine but maybe will have keep all that in mind...

Textron is gonna tank poor arctic cat, I never thought id jump ship but already have a polaris general in place of my wildcat sport which I loved and my next sled once i can ride again will be a polaris as well. If you cant get parts there is no reason to waste the money buying the machines IMO

A lot of frustration with Textron right now. Parts for 2013-14 Atvs are no longer available in some instances. That is piss poor customer support. This coming from a cat guy.

It sure is, been on only cats pretty much since the early 2000's, other than a couple yamaha sleds in 07 and 09. Sad this is where textron has taken them but I guess its back to the polaris stable for me.
