Wierd problem on my 2012 Pro RMK.

Started my 2012 Pro RMK 800 the other day, it would barely idle, no reverse. Once sled was warmed up, would run great although would not idle. Got it home, still no reverse. Was going to take it to my dealer next day, so I pulled my MBRP can off put on factory. Took it to work in back of truck. While I was at work I put some gas line antifreeze in it, let it sit for about 3 hours, then started it in back of truck. Idled fine, reverse worked. So I haul it back home, backed it off the truck, put it in the shop. After supper go out and put acn back od it. Pulled the rope, guess what, poor idle and no reverse!! What the?? Any ideas?

Bad fuel?.....First thing I would do is drain it and try fresh. Sounds like its going into limp mode?....if it has such a thing....I always try the simple things first....

Never changed the fuel, but fuel wouldn,t do that. Ran good untill I put can back on. I looked and no wires have been touched or rubbing. Can is alot smaller than factory, so none can touch wires. Machine was not hot after I put can back on. I am stumped. Tomorrow I will put factory muffler on to see if that changes it back..

Check your tps sensor , it effects your idle and voltage. Took my in and they reset the tps sensor

Sounds like tps adjustment

Sounds like moisture in the TPS connection... unplug the TPS wires at the throttle bodies (I pull the secondary for this) make sure they are dry and put some dielectric grease on it if possible....

Runnin on one cyclinder? Try a new set of plugs as well.

If plugs and can don't work then take in and have tps adjusted and check wiring harness. Heard of a few having bad wiring harness

I had the same problem as you and it was my TPS connection. Unplugged, let it dry a few days and a bunch of di-electric grease. X2 what Dazzler said

Where exactly are you guys unplugging the tps? Would like to know incase I have problems on the hill.

Had same issue on '11 assault. Start of day same symptoms. Halfway thru the day, started dying once rpms dropped too low. Had bitch of a time starting it. Smoked terribly, and bogging bad. We changed plugs out throughout day and would immediately foul them. Max rpm we could get was 6500. Burnt a full tank of fuel when others burnt not even half. When dealership was asked they said TPS needs adjustment/repair. Apparently been an issue. Strongly recommend getting it looked at, as its never a good feeling when your machine is acting up on a ride.

I have a 2012 pro 600 i have had the same issue i took it to the dealer twice to fix it they reset the tps and i got about 5 miles down the trail and would start high idling. The third time it would not idle at all it ran like crap up until 6500 rpm so i went to a new dealer ill let you know when they fix it
