The patents got to be up on the old 670? The Chinese could make use of that in their mountain sled line up haha
All this talk of patents... "what is a patent, and who cares?", said Jangfen Xang.

Nice work on velvet hammer brand bashin'... LOL
Not one peep out of the PoPo fans... yet. I guess our ego's have been beat down so bad from the '08 - '15 800 engine troubles, we have nothing left except... the Axys. Hail Mary!!
Speaking of patents, didn't brp sue polaris for copying the Rev pyramid frame, they are so behindAll this talk of patents... "what is a patent, and who cares?", said Jangfen Xang.

Oh ya, don't ever recall revs upright or control arms falling apart, if that's perfection them I'm good withoutBut PoPo has perfected it. Now they just need a reliable motor and the PoPo domination will begin...once again.
Thats my elevator speech. Got a similar one for the Oiler's run for the Stanley Cup in 2016...
Revs would bend if you looked at them funny though.Oh ya, don't ever recall revs upright or control arms falling apart, if that's perfection them I'm good without

Yes but not glue falling apartRevs would bend if you looked at them funny though.
Or forsure , they all do itAnd back in the early 2000 BRP stole the rear skid scissor coupling from Polaris and got sued for that......how you think Polaris ended up with a reversible engine a couple years after BRP. BRP had to give them the rights for copy right infringements.
Don't think BRP are SUPER STARS with einstein iq's, if they can steal it they will.

Nice to see the yellow underpants crowd show up and toss in their experience.....oh wait.....if you guys look up a sled called the Fast Blade you'll possibly learn where many of these Rev "olutionary" ideas came from...long before 2003....
So let's see what it came with: long travel M-10 in back (what's really funny is that skid is still light years ahead of the torsion springs still being offered by some over a decade later....OHHHHHH SNAP!)....dual A-arm front suspension (no DSA trailing arms?....starting to sound familiar....); reverse mounted engine with forward carbs (nice Kitty....good Kitty...); a rider forward and taller seating position (.... starting to sound like someone's 2004 sales brochure....); comp-link stabilizer; a driveline system that eliminated the jackshaft and chaincase (Diamond "Drive" in the rough.....?); a driveshaft-mounted brake caliper (in 2001 no less!.....like years before Doo did it......); and a sub-400-pound claimed dry weight.
Anyhoo, just thought you'd want to know that.......
so are you designing the sleds and training 120lb racers???I actually remember the FAST Blade. Neat sled, way ahead of its time. My Dads friend had one, cost 26,000$ if I remember correctly. He brought it out to the mountains with us a few times. Wasn't really that great though, compared to my 2000 ZX highmark Mod sled that Dave(the owner of the Blade) built for me, for around 18g.The Rev is a way better sled than the Blade, but the Blade no doubt influenced the Revs design.
The M10 suspension of that era was great at the time, but compared to a new T-motion skid
it rides like chit. I wouldn't go into Area51 ever, if I had a late 90's M10 skid on my sled...lol
So before someone starts yapping off about Bain Capital or some BS lets all agree on a few things:
1- BRP rules the universe and Polaris is dog chit Not totally sure I agree my seadoo picked up a stick hope fully its all good.I had 10 years on my polaris water toy 130 hp less and only 2 mph slower never cost me a cent
2-Companies steal ideas from other companies. yup My dealer friend went to his factory and saw a compound were they had all the other manfactures stuff torn appart.
3-The Chinese dont give 2 fawks about US patents. Or about the US in general
So hopefully I can get a few new 800 china-tec Pro in the Godzilla addition for my chinese race team!
Yeah back in the day the Mercury snowtwisters, Snowjet Thunderjets were kicking the big 4s assI am glad there are at least 4 heavily competitive sled manufactures, would be better if there were more. We get better products that continuously improve. By hook or by crook, we get the benefit, as along as we are willing to pay the price. That is the glass ceiling on any technology.
did anything come out of that suit? I heard polaris sued doo for using a on the fly manuel shock adjustment on the 440 snowcrossers and got the rer system as a settlement.Speaking of patents, didn't brp sue polaris for copying the Rev pyramid frame, they are so behind

trent backus actually has a forum on his webpage you might want to give him the gears on there ha ha I rode with him for a day and we traded sleds for most of the day. He can dangle. He landscapes in the summer and is also a journeyman power lineman as well.
