Could it be Shell and Petrocan gouging sledders....$1.329 L ???
Anywhere else premium is usually $.10 L more than Regular.
Like to support local business but will be hauling a bunch of jerry cans next trip there.

We noticed that our last trip up also. We bought Costco 91 for 0.996 L and took it with us, filled my truck up again today for 0.994 L. I like to support local too but that's an extra $25 a day for two sleds.

If you are running the premium in your sleds only it can be dyed premium which is about 1.05 per litre at the Co-Op in Valemount and as it is a cooperative you get dividend cheques once a year so probably closer to 1.00 per litre after that is factored in. The forms to join and set up an account are in envelopes in the card reader kiosk. The fuel pricing method at the Petro Canada in Valemount is, to be diplomatic, unique.

Thats why I bring my own fuel.

What shocked me was the price of the rooms at the BW. 144.50 a night before taxes and that was supposed to be the sledder rate. I wonder what the rates will be after the ski hill gets up and running.

Yeah I noticed that too, but it has been so long since I have rode in Vale I couldn't remember what we use to pay. Didn't it use to be $120 tax in?

Why I have a truck slip tank, and bring my own fuel for sleds.. BC fuel prices are out of control, the few times I ride there.. Half the price going south to montana

It is real simple if you sell 90% of premium fuel in winter raise the price a bit higher and gouge the sledders that keep your town alive in winter. Its something the local chamber should look into if they care.

I was on hotels.com and the BW is listed as 160 as their deal and 214 was crossed out, and the others are around 100 and under with their deal.

The BW is creeping up to downtown Edmonton prices.

Wow I can't believe everyone is so worried about fuel in a remote location. Sled fuel is the cheapest part of the trip for us. I honestly don't worry about filling 30-40 liters for 20 cents extra oh no not 6-8 dollars a day. Honestly I can't be bothered with Jerry cans for the small savings. It blows my mind people can ride 20k sleds and drive 80k trucks and be so concerned about sled gas. I am more concerned about truck fuel then sled fuel that's for sure!

I packed my own fuel and sleeped many a nights in my truck since I hate trailers. Ha.

Shopped at grocery stores for food and travel frugal for 14 ish years sledding 80 ish % of BC.

197 and 200 day trips a few times with lots of 100 too 150 stints.

Frugal paid for new sleds every 2 years, and they were well worn out at selling time.

Started traveling frugal "cheep" 36 years ago and ain't going to change as its fuelled my adventures too much of the Americas.

Those that have the funds too adventure with in their means works for them. Folks that travel frugal have their ways to make it work.

Funds saved add years too many more outtings, distance, and quality of the wilds.
Less is More unless its enjoying the freedom of lost-ness that funds could be diverted too. LOL.

Being lost is always the best part of living the dream.
