Not that it's never happened... but its not an absolute
And before Canada was a country, thats what it was.. military occupation of a certain piece of land... When Canada formed the english/french populations werent as skewed as they are today... and i would argue that the numbers were probably much closer to 50-50 (french decent-english decent)
If the country's founding fathers could get along with less hostility, why is it so hard today.... beneath it all, we are all canadian... end of the line
tell that to the french!!! but that's not really fair. tell it to the separatists, as they are the ones making all the noise about it

i actually have these kinds of discussions with quebecers all the times

i've always marveled at how similar Alberta and Quebec are...

Hey now I'm not dumb, my french teacher and principle came to an agrement that I would pass if I promised never to take french again. I think she just didn't want me in her class again, no sense of humor I tell ya.:d

I took french for 10 years in school still can't speak nor understand it...
my elementary school was 50% french immersion......

Most interest I ever had in french was named Jenvieve

girls tend to do that

i usually use this line every once in a while with girls here out west

me: "You have a little french in you??"

girl: "no."

Me: "you want to?"

LOL the reactions are priceless... it either works or it dont..50-50 chance
